Santino Chuor was one of the main lost boys in the documentary that was watched in class. He came to America with excitement and optimism but only found disappointment and struggles with jobs, cars, and paying taxes. He worked night shifts at a metal factory and was attending Houston Community College in 2004. Santino made many friends but never really felt like he was home. He left Texas and the factory and has relocated to San Francisco. Santino applied full-time in a community college from the scholarship of “The Lost Boys of Sudan” film viewers. With the film, Santino travelled all over the place to Dallas, Indianapolis, Los Angeles, New York, and San Jose. | He also is paying money for his brother to come be with him one day. In community college, Santino studied art and has already made some pieces of work. In 2012, Santino returned back to Sudan to see the new, modern South Sudan. |
